Saturday Outing.........
Went out with nidhi yesterday for celebrating her bday. How can a treat can be completed without movie.
So we started our day with " Lage Raho Munnabhai ".The movie was kind of good. Arshad Warsi rocks in the movie.
It's not a sequel, but more like a new story in the series. With all our favourite characters present of course - Circuit, Jimmy Shergill, Boman Irani, etc.
Munna has fallen in love with Jahnvi (Vidya Balan), a Mumbai RJ. To win her heart he wins a radio contest themed on Gandhi by faking as a history professor. He is now forced to learn everything about Gandhi. A few nights after doing that, Gandhi starts appearing to him! He starts to use Gandhi as a mentor to solve his personal and society's problems.
Touching everything from superstitions, love, friendship, psychological problems, family problems without getting cynical about any of these is the beauty of the story. And giving good humour without letting it make the mockery of serious message is the beauty of the presentation
The screenplay was excellent. There was not a single moment when I felt distracted or got bored- I was just glued to the screen all the time. The banter, the language, and his new words- Gandhigiri, etc, are fresh once again.
Next venture was shopping. We wandered around the store for a couple of hours, took mental notes of a lot of different things that we liked and didn’t like, and that was about it. We finally managed to buy a nice dress for nidhi.By this time nidhis colleagues Deepti and kiran also joined us with their kids. Ah..its so tough to shop with kids. I don't know why they feel attracted toward each and every thing present at shop....LOLs. Tough time for their mothers...... :-).
After that we went to Narula's for having food. I was feeling deadly tired by this time but overall a nice day..........
